One step is enough.unstick

How it works

Less circling.
A little more direction.

01

Pause

Check in with yourself. Take a few comfortable breaths if you want to.

02

Put it into words

Name the decision, look at what matters and write down a couple of options.

03

Pick a next step

Choose a move you can make. Finding out more or asking someone counts, too.

For the moments that go round and round

You don’t need a perfect answer to begin.

Why this exists

Built for one stuck brain: mine.

Unstick started as something I built for myself, for the nights when a decision felt too big to hold and my head wouldn’t stop circling.

It’s free, with no account to create. What you write stays in the page you have open. Unstick doesn’t save your decisions or send your words anywhere.

A few useful answers

Before you begin.

Is it free?

Yes. Every step is free, with no sign-up or subscription. There’s an optional tip jar if you’d like to support the project.

What happens to what I write?

Your answers stay in this page’s memory. They aren’t sent or saved by Unstick. Reloading the page clears them. You can choose to copy your plan into your own notes. Anonymous visit and event counts are separate from your answers; see our privacy page.

What if I’m not ready to decide?

You can choose to find out one missing thing, ask someone for their perspective or pick a time to return to the decision. You don’t have to force an answer.

Is the whole process scientifically proven?

No. Research supports some of the techniques used here, but Unstick’s complete sequence hasn’t been clinically validated. It’s a thinking tool, not therapy or a diagnostic tool. Read about the evidence and its limits.
